My Sister’s Cottage Fall Decor Finds

My Sister’s Cottage is one of my favorite local boutiques in the Wilmington, NC area! They specialize in clothing, jewelry, gifts, and my personal favorite… unique home and decor items. I’m so excited to share this small shop with you here on the blog today!! And yes, you read the title right… this post is all about my “fall decor finds”. (I know, I know… it’s only August, but fall is right around the corner!) Recently I stopped into My Sister’s Cottage and picked up a few new fall items for our home. I can’t wait to share my finds with you in today’s post. But I also thought I’d share a mini fall photo tour of the store to give you a taste of what they have to offer! Let me show you around My Sister’s Cottage…

I’ve been sharing My Sister’s Cottage on my Instagram stories a lot lately! But I know it’s hard to see everything they have to offer if you’re not local and aren’t able to go shop in person. So since I can’t take you with me, I thought writing this post would be the next best thing!

Every time I go into My Sister’s Cottage in Wilmington, I end up spending half the afternoon there wandering from one display to the next! There is just so much to see!! All the displays are beautifully styled, and they really do a great job highlighting all the unique home decor and housewares. The big house structure in the middle is one of my favorite spaces in the store! I keep dropping hints to Jake about how cool I think this structure is. And how I think it would be the perfect addition for an outdoor entertaining space here at the farmhouse. I don’t think he’s picked up on my hints just yet because there are no signs of construction outside at the moment. (Note to self, text this picture to Jake later today!)

Ok, so what all can you expect to find at My Sister’s Cottage…? So much, y’all! Want to see what all I picked up from my most recent trip to My Sister’s Cottage? Seeing all the fall items in store got me super excited for the new season ahead. So I picked up a couple neutral fall items as well as a few Halloween specific pieces.

I picked up this pumpkin shaped basket, which I think will make a perfect candy bowl for Halloween! We typically don’t get any trick or treators out here on the farm, but I still like to have a candy bowl out just the same. I also picked up a matching bread bowl that comes with a terra cotta warming stone! How perfect for a Thanksgiving table?! Or even as a hostess gift! Now I just need to get back into making sourdough again! I love that both these items are neutral, but still very festive. And I love that they’ll work in our decor now all the way through Thanksgiving!!

I also picked up a couple Halloween specific items. These mini galvanized jack-o-lanterns look so adorable stacked up and hung on this antique dresser that I hate to even move them! But there’s a specific look I have in mind for these. I can’t wait to show y’all when the time comes! More on that soon… And then there are these adorable ghost candy sacks!! I was ooo-ing and aaa-ing over these in the store when I saw them! Are they not the most adorable candy sacks you’ve ever seen? I can’t wait for the kids to use these trick or treating this October!!

Last but not least, check out those beaded wood picture frames in that last photo! I have been wanting to incorporate more photos in our home’s decor, and these picture frames were just screaming White & Woodgrain. I might even try them out on the new peg rail in the upstairs bathroom! (Have you been following along for this DIY project on my IG stories? I’ll be blogging that project very soon!)
