The perfect blue for the front porch ceiling on ou The perfect blue for the front porch ceiling on our New Old Cottage...

Summer Breeze by @valsparpaint

There are approximately 368,927,538,166 decisions to make when you're building a house.

And we've reached the point where decision fatigue is setting in, so we let my daughter "eenie meenie miny mo" the paint color for the porch ceiling.

Deep down I knew it was gonna be good, but I've never used "eenie meenie miny mo" to pick a color 🙃 so that had me nervous!

But I honestly think she picked the perfect blue! What do you think? Do you love it?? And would you ever use "eenie meenie miny mo" to pick your paint color?

Btw if you're new here, we're building a new cottage full of old house character and charm... Follow along to watch our new old cottage come to life one project, and one paint color at a time!

I can't get over how good this DIY penny tile project and this space are turning out!

If you're new here we're building a new / old guest cottage right down the gravel drive from our farmhouse! Our goal is to build a new house that feels like an old HOME. One that's full of vintage character and charm and I can't wait to show you all our visions come to life over the next few weeks!

The cottage should be finished sometime in May / June 2025... follow along to see more of this bathroom and the rest of the house as we wrap up construction soon!

I think I counted to 363108462! 🙃

Seriously though y'all... @barnlight makes the PRETTIEST lights! They're vintage-inspired fixtures which I just love, and I think they'll be the perfect complement to all the authentically old pieces we're incorporating into the design of our new-old cottage.

Follow along to see more of the cottage and to see how all these PRETTY lights look after they're installed... @royalelectricalcontractors will be here next week and I can hardly wait!

Farmhouse Garden Update: our DIY raised garden bed Farmhouse Garden Update: our DIY raised garden beds are finallly done and all set up, so I wanted to share a little garden update with you!

Can you believe we built these for under $30 / piece??

This space is right off the kitchen side of our farmhouse. It's not quite done yet - I still need to arrange the rest of the pavers and gravel between the beds, fill a few more with dirt, get plants in the ground, and make it all pretty! But I love how it's shaping up so far!

And Ford is so excited to enjoy some farm to floor veggies 🤣

I haven't decided what I'm gonna call this space yet. What do we like better?

- potager garden
- kitchen garden
- got any other ideas??

Comment "DIY" and I'll send you the full "how to" for our budget friendly raised beds with links to supplies and step by step instructions!
