Vintage Americana Quilt Finds

Y’all, I am so excited to share these beautiful red & white and blue & white quilts with you today!! I think they are perfect for summertime, and they would be a great way to instantly add a little festive touch for Memorial Day and the 4th of July! I love that they can blend in and mesh with the neutral farmhouse and cottage style y’all know I love! If you’re looking to add a little red, white and blue to your bedrooms for the summer… These patriotic colored quilts and coverlets would be the perfect addition!

Quilts Are More Than Just Bedding

I especially love using quilts as bedding, but there are so many other great ways to use quilts in your home! You can display them draped over a couch. Stack them on a shelf or in a pretty cabinet for a seasonal pop of color. You can place them at the foot of your beds for a layered look and for extra warmth on chilly nights. And you can spread them out for an impromptu picnic (indoors / outdoors).

Using Quilts to “Make a Pallet”

Quilts are also perfect for “making a pallet” when the kids want to have a sleepover! Ok, side note, have you ever heard the phrase “making a pallet”? I know I can’t be the only one who grew up saying that! It’s basically a way of saying you layered a few quilts on the floor as a makeshift bed. Just right for a sleepover! I have some fond childhood memories of sleeping on a pallet of old quilts with cousins and friends who came to visit!!

  1. Love all the inspiration today! I also favored the red/white quilts but after seeing the blue/white colored ones…hmm, might be a tie!

  2. You’re not the only one who has heard of making a pallet, Brittany. As a southern girl, I’ve heard that expression my whole life and have even slept on a few. :o) The quilts you shared are beautiful!

    1. Yes!! We always grew up calling it that! But I didn’t realize not everyone called it that until recently. Aren’t they pretty?! I could have bought a few of them!
