I love using quilts throughout our home and in our decor here at the farmhouse!! While neutral colors are my comfort zone for most of the year… I also like to throw in a little more color for summer in honor of Memorial Day and the 4th of July! So today on the blog I thought I’d share my love for vintage Americana quilts by sharing some of my recent favorite finds with you!! I rounded up over 30 of the prettiest red, white, and blue vintage Americana style quilt finds and they’re all available online!
Some of the quilts in this collection are red and white, and some of the quilts are blue and white. There’s a good mix of new coverlets and throws, as well as some vintage bedspreads and antique quilts in the collection! And they are at all different price points. Think you can tell which of these vintage Americana quilt finds are the real deal antique quilts and which finds are new but made to look vintage?? Some of the new ones are pretty convincing if you ask me! Click any of the photos below to get more info and details on that particular quilt.
Vintage Americana Quilt Finds
Y’all, I am so excited to share these beautiful red & white and blue & white quilts with you today!! I think they are perfect for summertime, and they would be a great way to instantly add a little festive touch for Memorial Day and the 4th of July! I love that they can blend in and mesh with the neutral farmhouse and cottage style y’all know I love! If you’re looking to add a little red, white and blue to your bedrooms for the summer… These patriotic colored quilts and coverlets would be the perfect addition!
Quilts Are More Than Just Bedding
I especially love using quilts as bedding, but there are so many other great ways to use quilts in your home! You can display them draped over a couch. Stack them on a shelf or in a pretty cabinet for a seasonal pop of color. You can place them at the foot of your beds for a layered look and for extra warmth on chilly nights. And you can spread them out for an impromptu picnic (indoors / outdoors).
Using Quilts to “Make a Pallet”
Quilts are also perfect for “making a pallet” when the kids want to have a sleepover! Ok, side note, have you ever heard the phrase “making a pallet”? I know I can’t be the only one who grew up saying that! It’s basically a way of saying you layered a few quilts on the floor as a makeshift bed. Just right for a sleepover! I have some fond childhood memories of sleeping on a pallet of old quilts with cousins and friends who came to visit!!
