These pretty white perennials have been a favorite of mine since childhood, and I look forward to seeing them pop up here on the farm each spring!
Last year we planted a few white hydrangeas around the chimney side of the farmhouse. I'd love to continue adding more and more flowers to our yard each year, a little at a time though to keep cost down and so I can learn as we go. What should we add this spring? Got any suggestions? I'm partial to anything white, but I'd love to hear your suggestions and ideas! Drop your favorite flowers below in the comments!!

We re-built my grandparents 1800's era farmhouse 4 years ago. There are only 2 of the original structures remaining, a barn and the back of this old shed building shown here.
Y'all, this week we finally started working on fixing up the front of this old building! (And by we, I mean my husband and my dad.) This is a huge project and one that I've been wanting to take on since we moved into our farmhouse!!
More views of the building in stories, and saved to my "Farm Shed" highlight! I'll be sharing more progress updates here and on the blog as we work on fixing up this building and breathing new life into it again. Stay tuned for more updates soon...

The average person spends roughly 33 years in bed The average person spends roughly 33 years in bed over the course of their lifetime. 26 years sleeping, and 7 years trying to get to sleep.
When you think about it that way, it only makes sense to prioritize making your bed and your bedroom the best it can be to support you in getting a good night's sleep! Or should I say, a good 33 years sleep?? 🤣
Tonight I thought I'd share a few of my best tips for creating the perfect bed!
Tip # 1: Invest in 2 sets of sheets. Nothing makes a bed cozier than freshly laundered sheets! And freshening up your bedding is so much easier when you have a second set of sheets to put on as soon as you take the first set off.
Tip # 2: Add lots of layers onto your bed. Layering quilts, blankets, and throws onto your beds allows you to get a little extra warmth when you need it, without having to fumble around in the linen closet at night.
Tip # 3: Size up your quilts. We have a queen size mattress, but I use king size quilts. It makes a huge difference because the quilt hangs down further and gives you a fuller look. This is especially helpful if you sleep with someone who steals the covers! (Cue Taylor Swift, it's me, high, I'm the problem it's me!)
Tip # 4: Pull back the quilt a little so it's not perfectly made. To me, a bed is all the more inviting and welcoming when it's a little disheveled rather than if everything were perfectly neat.
Tip # 5: 3 words... Red Land Cotton!
Y'all I have fallen in love with this company and with these sheets! @redlandcotton makes the most beautiful heirloom quality bedding, and everything they make is 100% made in America. The cotton is grown on their family farm and all through the production it never leaves US soil... From the seed to the sheets! AND it's all beautiful, and fits perfectly into the neutral farmhouse and cottage aesthetic we all love!!
