I am so excited to be sharing this blog post today, because it means I finally get to reveal a project I’ve been keeping under wraps for a couple weeks now! Recently, I partnered with Frame It Easy to work on an entryway refresh for the farmhouse. I created a vintage yardlong gallery wall display! I’ve been dreaming of a gallery wall of these old panoramic photos for so long… and so this project is literally a dream come true! Keep reading to hear all about our entryway refresh and to get access to a discount code with Frame It Easy… AND to learn about a giveaway I’m offering for a $100 credit to Frame It Easy!!
I have been hunting for the real deal vintage panoramic yardlongs for some time, but I just hadn’t come across the right ones at the right price. So when Frame It Easy reached out to collab, I knew this is the project I would tackle! I found digital images of vintage yardlong panoramic photos online at the Library of Congress’ website. It was so hard to narrow down my favorites because there were so many beautiful photos to choose from. In one of the photos I chose, you can see the men all pointing at the camera like the famous Uncle Sam posters! And in another you can see the nurses in all white uniforms! I absolutely love the details and the history in these photos!!
Once I narrowed it down to my 5 most favorite prints, I downloaded them to my computer. Then I uploaded them to Frame It Easy’s website and entered my frame selections. I chose the Hanover Style Frame in satin black with no mat. I am so happy with my choice of frame for these yardlongs! The proportions of the frame are perfect for the size of the photos, and it compliments the photos so nicely!!
The frames arrived within days of placing my order, and were packaged with the utmost care! And each frame came ready to hang with the picture wire already attached to the back. They even included the nail and picture hanger which made it so easy to hang these. It probably took me 10 minutes total to measure and hang all 5 photos evenly spaced in our entryway.
AND I have very exciting news for you… actually 2 exciting things! 1) You can get 10% off your order from Frame It Easy by ordering through my link. 2) Together Frame It Easy and I are doing a giveaway that starts on Friday May 28, 2021. I am loving our entryway refresh and our new vintage yardlong gallery wall! This look was inspired by Memorial Day and the 4th of July, which fits so well with the military prints I chose to feature. Though, I must say I love the look of these prints so much that I will be leaving them up year round… my mind is already spinning with ideas of ways to style these yardlongs in other areas of the farmhouse! I love them so much, and I can see using them in various spaces and rooms as I rearrange and change up decor throughout the seasons.
I hope this post brought you some inspiration today, and I wish you all a Happy Memorial Day weekend!! If you enjoyed it, you’ll probably also like the Memorial Day tablescape I shared in this post! Be sure to go enter in the giveaway over on my Instagram account! It ends on Monday, 5/31/21 and I will announce the winner in my feed post that day.
