Welcome back to the White and Woodgrain Holiday Home Tour! In case you missed it, last week I shared our Christmas Tablescape here on the blog. And today, I am so excited to be sharing another space in our home with y’all. This one’s a fun one for anyone who loves hot cocoa!! We turned our coffee bar into a hot cocoa bar all decked out for Christmas!

Christmas themed hot cocoa bar

When we built re-built the farmhouse, we designed this little built-in coffee bar area with my husband in mind. He’s an avid coffee drinker, and I’m an avid coffee smeller!

For Christmas this year, I got the idea to transform it into a hot cocoa bar. It all started when I found this adorable hot cocoa sign from the Hearth and Hand line at Target.

It’s been on my DIY project list, but for whatever reason we just haven’t gotten around to adding any shelving to this area yet! And without shelving it has felt so empty and unfinished. So I tried adding this little hutch top to see if it would work. And you know what, I don’t hate it!

This shelf was once the hutch top to the dresser in my childhood bedroom. I’ve had it tucked away in my little girl’s closet since we moved in waiting for an idea to strike… and I owe it to the Queen of Cozy, Liz Marie Galvan. She recently placed a wooden bookshelf on her kitchen counters and y’all… it looked like it was meant for that spot. It looked like the perfect custom open shelving! And it immediately make me think of this little hutch top!! When we eventually build shelves in the coffee bar area, this piece will move but for now I’m loving it!

Ok, back to the hot cocoa bar!! I picked up a few more things from Target, including this Hearth and Hand Tea Towel, these adorable candy cane garlands from the dollar spot, and some hot cocoa k-pods because to make life easier. Oh, and see the “tree skirt? That’s another Target find… and it’s actually a tea towel too!

I added marshmallows and some fun cocoa stirrers that I picked up at Home Goods to these vintage Atlas Mason jars. Can’t wait to try the peppermint ones! The jars on the top shelf are full of various coffees. I don’t know why we haven’t used these sooner because it looks so much prettier in the glass jars!! We found all these jars in the old trash dump area around the farm (you can read about that here). I’m loving using them in this space!

This vintage Santa belonged to my husband’s grandmother! And the milk glass mugs belonged to my grandmother!

I finished it off with some fairy lights! Doesn’t this just make you want to drink a cup of hot chocolate?! So festive and fun for the whole family…
