DIY Labels for Apothecary Style Drawer Pulls in the Kitchen

Do you ever dream up a DIY project, only to sit on the idea for 2 years? Just me… ? Well this week I finally tackled a little project in the kitchen that’s been in my mind since we chose our kitchen cabinet hardware! I created my own custom DIY labels for the apothecary style drawer pulls in our Kitchen! (Link to our drawer pulls [here].) It was a simple DIY project that just took a little trial and error with the sizing of the text and playing around with different letter styles. But I love how it turned out and I cannot wait to show you the photos!

I used Canva to create my labels, and I printed them on cardstock. Then it was as simple as cutting out each label and inserting it into the drawer pulls. I borrowed my mom’s old scrapbook paper trimmer which made it so much easier to get precise and straight cuts! I’ll link a couple similar ones below because these are a great tool to have on hand for paper projects like this one!!

After cutting all the labels, I just slid them into the corresponding drawer pulls. Simple as that!

Aren’t they adorable?! This DIY project was very easy, basically no cost as I already had some cardstock on hand. But for me it makes a big impact on the look of the drawers! It’s the little things y’all! And now, it’ll be even easier for guests to find their way around the kitchen when we host big gatherings here at the farmhouse. Pretty and functional friends!! Creating the labels in Canva was the most time consuming part of this project! It involved a little trial and error getting the sizes and the font just like I wanted. But I love how they turned out! I even added labels to the drawer pulls in the coffee bar area!

I’m linking our apothecary style drawer pulls above, along with a few similar ones that I also loved! While this may be a fairly simple DIY and a small detail in the grand scheme of our kitchen and other DIY projects we have tackled in the past… It’s a project I’ve had in my mind for a while now!
