Choosing a paint color can be a challenge, especially when it comes to whites! One thing that helps make it easier for me is seeing photos of a particular color painted on a piece of furniture or in someone else’s home.

That’s what this post is all about! It’s essentially a paint color review of Picket Fence by Fusion Mineral Paint. In the post, I’ll share inspo photos from our home and photos of some of my past paint projects, all using the color Picket Fence.

Today’s post will highlight the color Picket Fence, but if you’d like to see more of my favorite Fusion colors, be sure to check out this post where I sampled 18 different white and neutral Fusion Mineral Paint Colors!

Picket Fence by Fusion Mineral Paint: a pure bright white

In my humble opinion, Picket Fence is one of the most versatile whites from Fusion Mineral Paint. That’s because it’s their whitest white of all their white paint color options!

This makes it really easy to mix it into most color palettes because it complements whatever colors you pair it with. It’s also a great white paint color to pair with wood tones!

In my opinion, Fusion’s description of Picket Fence is spot on. It’s a true bright white, and is a great white paint color to consider for your next DIY paint project!

How does Picket Fence compare to the other whites from Fusion Mineral Paint?

I’m the type of person who needs to see all the color options before I make my final decision! Maybe that’s you too? I created a few sample trim pieces below that would help me see the difference between all the bright white paint colors from the Fusion line.

So if you’re like me and you like to see all the options before making your decision, here is a side by side view of 4 different whites from Fusion Mineral Paint.

You’ll notice that Picket Fence at the top of the photo below. It is the brightest white, though very comparable to Casement, just slightly brighter and more of a true white with no noticeable undertones. I find Casement to be slightly warmer toned than Picket Fence, though this difference is really hard to capture on camera.

Past DIY’s and Paint Projects using Fusion Mineral Paint’s Picket Fence

Choosing a paint color can be a challenge, but I feel like it’s especially hard to find the right shade of white!

Sometimes, the easiest way to choose a paint color is to see inspo photos of a particular color in someone else’s home… Photos of a room or a piece of furniture painted in that color.

So to help with that, let me show you a few past DIY’s and paint projects of mine here at the farmhouse featuring Picket Fence.

Re-Painted Vintage Wood High Chair

This sweet vintage high chair belongs to my baby nephew! It was actually a joint baby shower gift – the high chair first belonged to my aunt, I supplied the paint, and my mom painted it white.

I think Fusion’s Picket Fence was the perfect bright white for this project!

“This End Up” Toy Chest Turned Coffee Table & Linen Storage

I recently thrifted a “This End Up” toy chest, and gave it a mini-makeover and a new purpose in our office space / guest bedroom. Because this space has to serve multiple purposes, the furniture in here also needs to serve multiple purposes! So when the room is functioning as an office or sitting room for our family, the toy chest can serve as a coffee table or even a board game table.

The toy chest / coffee table sits in front of a sleeper sofa, and doubles as storage for extra linens, sheets, and pillows. That way when we need this room to function as a bedroom, we can pull out the sleeper sofa bed and the extra sheets and linens are easily accessible.

When we need to convert this room into a guest space, we can easily slide the chest to the side, pull out the sleeper sofa bed, and set it up for guests using the linens and pillows stored away inside the chest!

I painted the inside of the chest white in the color Picket Fence by Fusion Mineral Paint. It really brightened up the interior and made this piece feel really fresh and clean, perfect for storing the extra linens!

Antique Cabinet with Glass Doors

I debated painting this antique cabinet, because I love the look of the wood tones on this old piece. But inside the cabinet behind the glass doors was just so dark, and any decor I added seemed to get lost.

So after relocating it to our bedroom, I thought I’d try to brighten it up a bit by painting the inside of the cabinet white in the color Picket Fence.

I decided to only paint the inside of the upper cabinet, the part that you see through the glass doors. But man the difference it made. The inside of this cabinet is so much brighter now!

I’m waiting a bit longer for the paint to cure before I style this antique piece. It’s barely dry to the touch in these photos, but I couldn’t wait to share how good it looks now with a fresh coat of paint. More photos to come when I get it all decorated!
